The FT reports on the alarm that the Palestinian people's voice has caused. A gentleman by the name of Robert Fisk has been telling anyone who is willing to listen (sic) that Israel's illegal occupation of the West Bank and Jerusalem and the sellout by Fatah in search of a US-led peace has led to greater support of Hamas. In short that this election result should not be a surprise.
Beware what democracy might bring.

Hamas Victory Met with Alarm in the West

Alistair, we are living a historic event and this an uneventful comment.
I just watched Munich. It was a good movie. As a measure of how good it is - I must tell you that I now have even less of an idea who is right and who is wrong in the middle eastern conflict.
I think Buddha had an interesting perspective - beware what desire might bring. -
