Ruminations on Russia

A meaningless ramble through Russia and the rest of the Imperium

Has Big Blue Turned Bad Boy from FT.com / Industries / Information technology

So its finally being recognised that IBM GS platform agnostic is actually defined as; IBM platforms first at 100% of the price and agreeing to pitch someone elses at a price 40% less despite the fact that it is better than the original IBM platform.

The future of the IT industry is something that fascinates me - increasingly IBM does not build the components it buys / licenses them from ISV's. But how will it continue to do so if working with IBM is recognised as being very unfavourable. Or is the reality that all these small ISV's have to because its so big - how blue
